Studied with sociological tools, social advancement becomes visible primarily in movement - climbing up the social ladder, migrating to a place offering greater opportunities. However, advancement in the process of happening rather than done, possible to measure and accurately capture in the form of earned diplomas or salary levels, is first of all experienced emotionally: those who advance feel joy and excitement, fear and shame, anger and hope. During Magda Szczesniak's guided tour, we will consider the possibilities of visually conveying advancement-related emotions in the medium of painting.
